On 5 February 2024, the Minister for Research and Higher Education and Minister for Digitalisation, Stéphanie Obertin, met Her Excellency Fleur Thomas, the UK Ambassador to Luxembourg, as part of a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Research and Higher Education.

The meeting focused in particular on collaboration in the field of research between the two countries, including possible ways of strengthening this collaboration against the backdrop of the UK's association with the European Horizon Europe framework programme. Luxembourg's priorities in terms of research and innovation, digitalization and student mobility were also discussed.
